Mat the Maker
Mat The Maker Branding
For this custom Mat the Maker coin, a 3D printer was used to design and print out a wax version of the concept (dime seen for reference). Next, I created a mold around the 3D print and melted the wax . This leaves a cavity—or void—that can be filled with molten metals. For this coin, silver was chosen. For my next project, I’ll be using this coin to make the stamp on a signet ring.

Bringing to life the logo of local artist, Sydney Gruber, was a very rewarding job. Now on display in her studio gallery, this bishop is made from local hand-turned cherry wood and accented with epoxy and flecks of gold-leaf.

The Red Pill

The Walking Dead Baseball Bat
Interested in weaponry and props? I’ve got you covered. This is no Lucille, but it might be her daddy, Henry. The bat is hand-turned on a lathe out of black walnut. Brass spikes.
robot Mp3 Player
When Mat the Maker’s mind drifts, he is a maker who commits. His book-matched firearm required as much labor as he did during the building process, but this gangster is the MP3 Robot keeping Mat company in his shop while he creates. He has blue topaz, various metal parts, and a mixed media of wood parts acting as his vessel.
Bluetooth compatible.
Alabama Throne
This custom built throne commemorated the 16 National Championships secured by the Crimson Tide at the time. The XVI Throne now lives with a collector.
